This year we are providing an ISSF coaching workshop aimed at our older members who may have recently joined the sport or may have never received any structured coaching or who just want to get better at what they do.
The workshop will be spread over two days commencing 12 noon Saturday 9th September and finishing 1 pm Sunday 9th September.
The suggested age range is 18 and up but aspiring 16 or 17 year olds are not precluded from attending.
Coaches present will be qualified coaches from QTS, some of whom have National and International shooting and coaching experience.
The clinic will include;
· Defining the difference between training and practice,
· Identifying the key areas of training,
· Documenting each participant's process,
· Equipment – can you buy 10's?,
· Match preparation,
· Defining the attributes of a good shooter,
· Goal setting.
As part of the workshop, shooting activities will include a beginning “Benchmark” shoot, free training and a concluding “Validation” shoot.
QTS will be covering all costs to shooters while at this camp.
All meals will be supplied on the range (QTS) and accommodation will be QRA bunk room.
We ask that any shooters wishing to attend to please complete and return the attached forms and return to QTS. To assist with catering and accommodation requirements nominations need to be in by Wednesday 5thSeptember 2018.
